The Office of the Leading Group for the Recognition and Management of National High-tech Enterprises has recently issued The announcement of the high-tech enterprises to be registered by the Zhejiang Provincial certification agency in 2023. It is worth noting that Hailiang Research Institute (legally known as Zhejiang Copper Processing Research Institute Co., Ltd.) has successfully made it onto the list.

The Research Institute of Hailiang performs six major functions, including research and innovation, project planning, production equipment, intellectual property rights, engineering support and mold supply. The recent recognition of the institute as a national high-tech enterprise is a significant affirmation of its excellence in research and development innovation, intellectual property management and other fields.

Since the merger of the research institute, it has been continuously exploring the uncharted territories and overcoming innovation challenges in order to optimize and develop the six major functions of the institute, with the ultimate goal of achieving “green and low-carbon intelligent manufacturing”.

On the one hand, Hailiang is focused on optimizing resource allocation, strengthening talent recruitment and development, fostering innovation and comprehensively enhancing R&D and innovation capabilities. On the other hand, Hailiang is also prioritizing the management of intellectual property rights and innovating the patent filing process, as evidenced by the US patent for “A Wire Billet Butt Welding Device”. Hailiang has set a new record for patent application speed, with the entire process from application submission to receipt of Notice of Allowance and Fee Due taking just over 90 days.
